Upside Down Cake

4 egg yolks
1 cup sugar
4 egg whites (beaten stiff)
1 cup flour
Dash salt
4 tablespoons butter
4 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
4 slices of pineapple
chopped nuts

Beat yolks until light. Beat in sugar, add egg whites. In separate bowl sift together flour and salt. Fold flour mixture with first mixture. Blend well. Melt butter in cake pan, sprinkle with brown sugar. Arrange pineapple and nuts on bottom of pan. Pour in batter. Bake at 350º for 30-40 minutes.
