Winter Play

Snow’s not falling,
sky’s now clear,
for winter’s playground
let us cheer!

Pull on the long johns
and the socks,
zip up the snowsuit
now don’t get caught!

Where’s your mittens
and your hat?
Aren’t you snug
dressed like that?

At last your boots
and you are done,
let’s head outdoors
for snowy fun.

What do you mean
you can’t yet play?
Must take it all off,
for nature’s delay.
