Brother & Sister

Beyond childish teasing,
and normal fights,
is a friendship
that shines bright.

Sharing laughter
or a special toy.
Loving the other,
girl and boy.

Joining forces,
conquering foes,
creating games
when the other’s low.

Vowing solemnly,
“She’ll play if you want me”.
Helping the other
to climb a tree.

Though friendship’s the trend,
they occasionally grouse,
the brother and sister,
within our house.
